The OFTC Foundation, Inc. Credit Program Scholarships
B-H Transfer Commercial Truck Driving Scholarship
Three $150.00 scholarships will be awarded annually fall semester to students enrolled in the commercial truck driving program for either the A or B session. One scholarship is available to students on the Dublin Campus, one scholarship is available for students on the Jefferson Campus and one scholarship is available to students on the Sandersville Campus. Funds will be distributed directly to the recipients. Applicants must have obtained a commercial learner permit.
Gene Haas Machine Tool Scholarship
Five $400.00 scholarships will be awarded each semester to students enrolled in the machine tool diploma or degree program on the Dublin Campus. Students must have completed a minimum of two semesters in the program to be eligible. Students may receive the scholarship award only one time in their career at OFTC. Funds will be distributed directly to the recipients.
Hancock Strong Adult Education Scholarship
One $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded each semester to students who have successfully completed the adult education program and enrolled in credit classes at OFTC. Applicants must be a resident of Hancock County. Applicants must be in good standing at OFTC, not owe monies to the college and must demonstrate a financial need. Funds will be distributed directly to the recipient. Students may receive the Hancock Strong AE Scholarship no more than two times in their career at OFTC.
Hancock Strong Dual Enrollment Scholarship
One $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded each semester to students who have successfully completed the dual enrollment program and enrolled in program credit classes at OFTC. Applicants must be a resident of Hancock County. Applicants must be in good standing at OFTC, not owe monies to the college and must demonstrate a financial need. Funds will be distributed directly to the recipient. Students may receive the Hancock Strong DE Scholarship no more than two times in their career at OFTC.
Hancock Strong General Scholarship
One $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded each semester to students enrolled at either the Sandersville or Jefferson County campus at OFTC. Applicants must be a resident of Hancock County. Applicants must be in good standing at OFTC, not owe monies to the college and must demonstrate a financial need. Funds will be distributed directly to the recipient. Students may receive the Hancock Strong General Scholarship no more than two times in their career at OFTC.
Hancock Strong Health Care Scholarship
One $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded each semester to students enrolled who are enrolled in an area of health care at either the Sandersville or Jefferson County campus at OFTC. Applicants must be a resident of Hancock County. Applicants must be in good standing at OFTC, not owe monies to the college and must demonstrate a financial need. Funds will be distributed directly to the recipient. Students may receive the Hancock Strong Health Care Scholarship no more than two times in their career at OFTC.
Horadan Early Childhood Education Scholarship
Four $250.00 scholarships will be awarded annually spring semester to students enrolled in the early childhood care and education program at OFTC. Students must have completed 12 semester hours in the early childhood care and education associate degree program. Students must verify a 2.5 GPA to make application. Funds will be distributed directly to the recipient. Students may receive the scholarship one time in their career at OFTC.
Howard Sheppard Commercial Truck Driving Scholarship
Four $100.00 scholarships will be awarded annually fall semester to students enrolled in the commercial truck driving program for either the A or B session. One scholarship is available to students on the Dublin Campus, one scholarship is available for students on the Jefferson Campus and two scholarships are available to students on the Sandersville Campus. Funds will be distributed to student accounts at OFTC to help defray costs of tuition. Applicants must have obtained a commercial learner permit.
The Merchants and Citizens Bank Scholarship
Ten $100.00 scholarships will be awarded fall and spring semester to students enrolled at OFTC on the Dublin Campus. Students must be a resident of Telfair County. Students must be in good academic standing, have earned a minimum of three semester hours and are enrolled in classes for the semester in which they are making application. Funds will be distributed to directly to the recipients.
OFTC Foundation General Scholarship
Eight $500.00 scholarships will be awarded annually to students enrolled or planning to enroll (Dual Enrollment) full-time (12 credit hours*) in any diploma or degree program at OFTC. Students may apply fall semester. Funds will be distributed to students as follows: $250.00 fall semester upon verification of enrollment and $250.00 spring semester upon verification of enrollment.
Randy Helton Family Scholarship
One $250.00 scholarship will be awarded each semester to a student enrolled at OFTC. Applicants must be enrolled in a credit program and have a GPA of 3.0 or better to make application. This scholarship is not restricted by campus or program. Students may receive this scholarship once during their tenure at OFTC. Funds will be distributed directly to the recipient.
Schrader Vision of Hope Medical Imaging Scholarship
One $500.00 scholarship will be awarded annually fall semester to students pursuing or advancing a career in medical imaging. Students must be accepted into any of the medical imaging programs at OFTC and have a GPA of 3.5 or greater. Students may receive this scholarship once during their tenure at OFTC. Funds will be distributed to the students financial aid account at OFTC.
Sodmasters Turf Grass Farm Commercial Truck Driving Scholarship
Two $200.00 scholarships will be awarded each semester for students enrolled in the commercial truck driving program on the Dublin Campus for either the A or B session. Students must demonstrate the following attributes as a potential employee: attitude, work ethic, integrity, relationships, family values. Funds will be distributed directly to the recipient. Applicants must have obtained a commercial learner permit.
Sterrett ADN Nursing Scholarship
One $750.00 merit-based scholarship will be awarded annually in spring semester to a student enrolled in the ADN program on the Sandersville Campus of OFTC. Students must be accepted and enrolled in the ADN bridge program and have a GPA of 3.0 or better. The scholarship award will be disbursed in two installments, one of $375.00 will be made spring semester and another of $375.00 will be made summer semester. Funds will be distributed directly to the recipient.
Sterrett LPN Scholarship
One $750.00 merit-based scholarship will be awarded annually to a student enrolled in the practical nursing program on the Sandersville Campus of OFTC. Students must be enrolled in PNSG220 and have a 3.0 GPA or better. The scholarship award will be disbursed directly to the recipient in one payment. Funds will be distributed directly to the recipient
Tommy Barlow Automotive Technology Scholarship
One $100.00 scholarship will be awarded annually spring semester to a student enrolled in the automotive technology program at OFTC. Student must provide verification of successful completion of spring semester, must have a GPA of 2.5 or better and must of completed 12 credit hours in the automotive technology program. The scholarship award will be disbursed directly to the recipient in one payment upon verification of the criteria.

Alton McCullough Scholarship
One $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating high school student from the Laurens County School System (ELHA or WLHS) who enrolls in a Trades and Industrial Program at OFTC. Applicants must provide a copy of their high school transcript and personal references, along with an OFTC Foundation application package to the Dual Enrollment Coordinator for OFTC. Priority will be given to a student enrolling in the diesel program. Funds will be distributed at the rate of $350.00 per semester for three semesters of successful completion.
Brandon Lawrence Scholarship
One $500.00 scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating high school student from Wheeler County High School who will be enrolling at OFTC following high school graduation. Students must plan to enroll in and complete a diploma or degree in technical education. Students must demonstrate academic excellence, outstanding moral character, and a determination to succeed in life. The funds will be distributed directly to the student at the rate of $250.00 for fall and $250.00 for spring semesters upon verification of successful completion.
Dr. Jaroy & Elysea Stuckey Dual Enrollment Scholarship
One $250.00 scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating senior from Dublin High School who has participated in the dual enrollment program at OFTC. Students must have plans to enroll at OFTC following graduation and demonstrate outstanding moral character and determination. Applicants must provide a copy of their high school transcript along with their dual enrollment transcript. The funds will be distributed directly to the student’s financial aid account at OFTC.
Frank Wall Scholarship
One $500.00 scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating high school senior from Wilkinson County School System who is a resident of Wilkinson County and who will enroll in a program of study at OFTC Dublin Campus following graduation. The monetary stipend will be awarded at the rate of $250.00 per semester for two semesters (fall and spring). A high school transcript must be included in the application package. Funds will be paid directly to the student upon verification of successful completion of fall and spring semesters as verified by an acceptable GPA of 2.5 or greater
Johnny Howard Scholarship
One $250.00 scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating high school senior from Laurens County (WLHS) who will be enrolling in the welding and joining program at OFTC Dublin Campus. The monetary stipend will be paid directly to the student recipient upon successful completion of one semester of the welding and joining program. Student has one semester following the award to redeem the scholarship. Student recipient must contact the Foundation office during their first semester at OFT to make arrangements for the award.
