OFTC student receives Trevor Dyar Scholarship

Amanda Beacham of Allentown is the first recipient of the Trevor Dyar Scholarship offered through the OFTC Foundation-South, Inc. at Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC).

The Trevor Dyar Scholarship was established in memory of Trevor by his family.  The scholarship is a tribute to his memory and his passion for the EMS profession.

The scholarship was open to students enrolled in the EMS Professions diploma at OFTC who successfully passed the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Exam.  Applicants were nominated and recommended by their instructor.

“The South Foundation appreciates the Dyar Family establishing this scholarship to recognize an OFTC student.  We are proud to present this award to Amanda.  It is evident she has a great passion for the EMS professions field and will continue to grow in her career,” commented Jenny Shuman, executive director, OFTC Foundation-South, Inc.
