Tickets on sale for DEPARTURE – The Journey Tribute Band

Tickets are now on sale for DEPARTURE – The Journey Tribute Band which will be held Saturday, February 25th at Theatre Dublin. The event is a fundraiser to benefit the OFTC Foundation South at Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC).

Departure Band and event detailsDEPARTURE has been together for eight years and has become the most respected Journey tribute band in the nation.  DEPARTURE replicates the look, feel, and sound of the original 80’s rock group. These musicians give their audience a high-energy stage show from start to finish.   DEPARTURE was voted “Best Local Entertainer” for 2011, 2012, and 2014 by Gwinnett Magazine.  Doug Ballard, originally from Laurens County, is a member of the band and plays bass and is a vocalist.

“The South Foundation is excited to bring DEPARTURE to the area,” said Jenny Shuman, Director of the OFTC South Foundation. “Theatre Dublin will be rocking on February 25th, and we would like to encourage everyone to enjoy the downtown restaurants before the concert, then come and enjoy the concert. We will also be holding a 50/50 raffle and will be selling tickets for a Spring Raffle.”

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door and are available at Bank of Dudley (downtown and Veterans Blvd location), Morris Bank (downtown and mall location), Oconee Fall Line Technical College (at the South Campus in Dublin), and the Cochran/Bleckley Chamber of Commerce.
