Thomas Wells Awarded OFTC’s Brandon T. Lawrence Scholarship

Thomas Wells of Alamo was recently awarded the Brandon T. Lawrence Scholarship from Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s Foundation-South.

Wells is a senior at Wheeler County High School and plans to attend OFTC and enroll in the Heating and Air Conditioning Program.

The Brandon T. Lawrence Scholarship was established through the OFTC South Foundation in memory of Brandon Timothy Lawrence who lost his life on February 6, 2004 in a car accident. Because of Lawrence’s zest for life, high academic achievements, and love of people, his family (the Douglas Price family) established the scholarship.

The award was presented at Honor’s Night at Wheeler County High School on May 17, 2017 by Staci Benson, Brandon’s mother.

For information on establishing a scholarship, contact Jenny Shuman, executive director of the OFTC South Foundation at jshuman@oftc.edu or 478-296-6117.
