The OFTC Foundation-South, Inc.  awarded eight Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) students the Merchants & Citizens Bank Scholarship for spring semester. The scholarship was established by The Merchants & Citizens Bank of McRae-Helena to assist students from Telfair or Wheeler County who are enrolled in a credit program of study at OFTC.

Students receiving the scholarships for Spring 2016 are Marci Allen of McRae-Helena, Brook Booker of McRae-Helena, Jennifer Cravey of McRae-Helena, Charity Edge of McRae-Helena, Sheria McCrimmon of McRae-Helena, Aurtavia McRae of McRae-Helena, Amy Selph of McRae-Helena, and Kimberly Spires of Lumber City.

“The M & C Bank is delighted to offer these scholarships to OFTC students who reside in Telfair or Wheeler Counties, and we are proud of each of them and wish them success as they complete their program of study,” commented Jeff McGhee of the M & C Bank.

In addition, the OFTC Foundation South, Inc.  awarded Doris Pritchard of Helena the McRae Rotary Club GED Scholarship for spring semester.  Pritchard is enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Program at Oconee Fall Line Technical College and will be completing her program in May.  The McRae Rotary Club established the scholarship to encourage local GED graduates to continue their education at Oconee Fall Line Technical College.  It is also given in part to fulfill the Rotary International organization’s commitment to Adult Literacy.
