Skills Needed and Description of Job:

Under general supervision, maintains, diagnoses and repairs
gasoline and/or diesel-powered engines, vehicles, and other
motorized equipment with a focus on the repair and maintenance of
small engines, two cycle engines, and landscape fleet.

Job Requirements:

Associate’s/ Vocational/Technical degree in area of assignment from an accredited college or
university AND One (1) year of experience performing service repairs
on mowing equipment and handheld power equipment AND one (1)
year of mechanic diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative
maintenance experience OR Four (4) years of experience as a journey
level mechanic with diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative
maintenance experience. Welding experience and basic computer
skills required. Must have a valid Georgia Driver’s License and meet
the agency’s requirements to be an authorized driver.

Competencies:

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in
writing. Ability to establish and maintain positive and cooperative
working relationships with those contacted in the course of work at
all levels, including a culturally diverse general public, with a focus on
quality service to internal and external customers. Ability to perform
basic mathematical computations. Ability to follow oral and written
directions. Ability to apply and follow safety practices.

 

Hours/Week: Full-Time Shift:
Salary:   $24,771.59-$28,900.00 Benefits:  Will be discussed at interview.
