Ridge Road Elementary School Hosts OFTC Day

Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) recently participated in OFTC day at Ridge Road Elementary School as a part of a series of college and career readiness days put on by the elementary school, Friday, October 18.

RRE School students were encouraged to wear OFTC colors or an OFTC branded t-shirt to school, and OFTC representatives were on site to greet the children on their way to class and take photos with them.

During an assembly, OFTC’s President, Erica Harden, and Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Saketha Adams, spoke to students about OFTC and even led the children in an OFTC cheer.

At the conclusion of the assembly, several classes stepped outside to look at one of OFTC’s Commercial Truck Driving (CTD) 18-wheelers that was parked out front and listened as CTD instructor, William Daniel, talked about truck driving careers.
