OFTC’s Spring 2018 PN Class Garners 100% Pass Rate
Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s (OFTC) 2018 spring semester Practical Nursing (PN) class achieved a 100% pass rate on their NCLEX-PN (state board exams), becoming eligible for licensure in the state of Georgia as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN).
“We are thrilled that 100% of students in this practical nursing class passed this exam and are ready to move on into their careers,” shared Tammy Bayto, Dean of OFTC’s Allied Health department.
Now that these nursing graduates are officially licensed, many will begin work as LPN’s and begin working on core requirements to apply for OFTC’s Associate Degree in Nursing Bridge program and become licensed Registered Nurses.
“On behalf of all the PN Instructors, we are very proud of these student’s success,” shared Deb Thomsen, OFTC Practical Nursing instructor. “We would like to wish them well with the future paths they are about to follow and to remember to learn something new every day!”
These OFTC Practical Nursing Students who are now licensed LPN’s are: Rebecca Studstill, Laurens; Harley Herndon, Laurens; Nadege Sai, Gwinnett; Kentrece Moss, Houston; Kimberly Smith, Laurens; Nikki Johnson, Laurens; and Taylar Massengale, Washington.
