OFTC’s North Foundation Announces Tournament Winners
The Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) North Foundation hosted its fourth annual golf tournament Saturday, June 9 at Twin City Country Club in Tennille, Ga.
Sixteen teams consisting of 64 players participated in the tournament, all hoping to win the coveted first place prize of a round of golf for four at one of four courses at Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro. All participants received 18 holes of golf, lunch and a gift bag filled with donated items from local business and industries.
The first place winners, shooting an 18 under par, was the team representing B-H Transfer: Phil Smith, Jay Smith, Mark Cooper and Tommy Cain.
The second place winners, with a 12 under par, were Jim Landrum, Matt Milburn, Lindy Tutor, and Ken Joiner and they each received a $75 gift card.
The third place winners, with a 14 under par, were Randall Johnson, Kyle Edenfield, Don Wren, and Joey Kaney and they each received a $50 gift card.
“Congratulations to each of these teams,” said Kathy Aaron, Executive Director of OFTC’s North Campus Foundation. “This year the tournament had a first – the team of Town & Country Real Estate consisted of four generations: Johnny Webb, Andy Webb, Zack Webb, and Warren Webb and it was such fun to watch this team of four generations interact and participate!”
“The Foundation would like to thank everyone who supported this event,” Aaron added, “especially Twin City Country Club and all the golfers and sponsors. Plans are already underway for next year’s event which we hope will be bigger and better!”
