OFTC’s 2023 Spring Commencement & High School Equivalency Graduation Date and Speaker Announced

OFTC — Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) will host their 2023 Spring Commencement Ceremony and High School Equivalency (HSE) Graduation at the Dubose Porter Business and Industry Training Center in Dublin Thursday, June 22 at 7:00 P.M.

The College will confer graduates with associate degrees, diplomas and technical certificates of credit in a variety of high-demand fields in Georgia, and HSE credentials.

A native of Dublin, Georgia, Representative Matt Hatchett will serve as the 2023 spring commencement speaker.

Matt was elected to House District 150 in November 2010. He serves as Chairman of the House Appropriations committee and as a member of the Economic Development & Tourism committee; Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications committee; Health & Human Services committee and the Rules committee. Matt served as one of Governor Deal’s Floor Leaders from June 2011 until September 2013 when he was elected by his peers to serve as the chairman of the House Majority Caucus. Hatchett served as majority caucus chairman until July of 2021 when he again was elected by the majority caucus to serve as Majority Whip until he was appointed as the Chairman of the House Appropriations committee in December of 2022.

After redistricting in 2021, Matt began serving in District 155, which now includes all of Laurens and Johnson counties.

Matt and his wife Kim have two beautiful daughters, Emily and Camille.
