OFTC to Host Summer Health Career Camp for HS Students in Dublin
OFTC will host a Summer Health Career Camp at the College’s Dublin campus this June.
The Magnolia Coastlands Area Health Education Center is sponsoring a summer day camp (Health Career Camp) at Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s (OFTC) Dublin campus for rising 9th through 12th grade students and graduating seniors who are interested in a career in the healthcare field, June 17-20.
Camp activities include meeting with practicing health professionals to discuss the challenges and rewards of providing health care in today’s society, talking with healthcare professions students about their own learning experiences, touring health care facilities and colleges, gaining expert advice on colleges which offer healthcare professions programs, and more.
The cost for the entire camp is $30 and includes lunch each day. The camp will meet from 9 AM to 3 PM Monday through Wednesday and 9 AM to 1 PM on Thursday. Participants will need transportation to and from OFTC’s Dublin campus each day.
The mission of Oconee Fall Line Technical College, a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia, is to contribute to the economic and workforce development of east central Georgia through quality technical and continuing education, adult education, and business and industry services. The College offers associate degrees, diplomas, technical certificates of credit, and non-credit certificates in a student-centered learning environment through traditional and distance education modes of delivery.
