OFTC to Host Resource Fair at Jefferson County Center May 5

Jefferson County Resource Fair

Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) will host a resource fair at the Jefferson County Center in Louisville, Thursday, May 5, from 9AM – 1PM. 

Attendees will enjoy chips and salsa in honor of the Cinco de Mayo holiday while learning about the great programs available at OFTC’s Jefferson County Center: Allied Health, Business Management, Commercial Truck Driving, Cybersecurity, Early Childhood Care Education, Welding, and options for receiving High School Equivalency through the GED or HiSet exams. 

Employers from these industries will also be present, showing attendees local career potential. Attending employers are:

  • TFS of Georgia
  • Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office
  • Development Authority of Jefferson County
  • WorkSource CSRA
  • Georgia Cyber Center

  • OFTC Admissions

“Our mission is workforce development, so we wanted to offer a fun way for people in the Louisville community to come to our campus and see first-hand the employment opportunities that are available to them locally with education and skills training from OFTC,” shared Saketta Brown, OFTC’s Assistant Director of Student Life.  

“We are excited to host this event at our Jefferson County Center and look forward to seeing those who can come out and join us for free chips and salsa for Cinco de Mayo,” added Brandy Johnson, director of the Jefferson center.
