OFTC Students Attend Georgia Society for Respiratory Care Student Meeting

Respiratory Care Students at Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) participated in the Georgia Society for Respiratory Care (GSRC) student meeting in Warner Robins, GA., Friday, March 3.  

This meeting is held annually to aid in the professional development of future respiratory therapists in the state of Georgia.  

Participating students have the opportunity to hear lectures from practicing respiratory therapists in management, education, home care, and other healthcare professionals who contribute to patient care. 

OFTC student Ankeithian “Keith” Howell was one of 5 attending students to present a case study to the registered participants. Other student case studies were presented by students from Georgia State University, Georgia Southern University, Middle Georgia State University, and Columbus Technical College

“Keith did a great job on presenting his case study and we want to congratulate him for all the hard work he did in making sure his presentation was a success,” shared Kelley Braxton, OFTC’s Director of Clinical Care for the Respiratory Program. 

The OFTC students who attended were Megan Thorn, Ludowici; Tre’Meisha Charleston, Dublin; Kayla Tarpley East Dublin; Ankeithian “Keith” Howell, Fort Valley; Markeisha Darrisaw, East Dublin; and Latwaunda “Neisha” Neal, Lyons.
