Nearly seventy Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) credit and High School Equivalency (HSE) graduates were honored as they walked across the stage during the College’s 2022 Fall Commencement Ceremony & HSE Graduation held on the Sandersville Campus, Thursday, September 22.

Graduates received degrees, diplomas and technical certificates of credit in a variety of high-demand fields like Business Management, Pharmacy Technology, Cosmetology, Commercial Truck Driving, Diesel Equipment Technology, Welding, high school equivalency diplomas, and more.

“We cannot tell you enough how excited we are to watch you walk across the stage to receive your credential tonight,” shared OFTC President Erica Harden as she addressed the graduates. “Your hard work, determination, and perseverance is the reason you are here today and it’s inspiring.”

“We are so proud of you, and we hope you always know that OFTC is family,” she added. “We wish you all the best as you enter this new chapter of your life and career. We know you are prepared to do great things.”

Eartha Cummings, Mayor of Tennille, Ga., addressed the graduates as keynote speaker and recognized the class for their accomplishments.

“This college has provided you with an opportunity,” Cummings shared. “Not everyone takes or recognizes when an opportunity is presented to them. But graduates, you did. This degree will open doors that would have otherwise been closed to you.”

“When you leave this place tonight, remember you made the best of this opportunity,” she added. “Continue to develop character worthy of promotion. You have the power to make a difference. Congratulations again, and I pray the doors and windows of heaven are opening for you.
