OFTC Foundation North Hosts 7th Annual Golf Tournament
The Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) Foundation North recently hosted its 7th annual golf tournament. The tournament was held on Saturday, June 12 at the Twin City Country Club in Tennille, Ga.
Participants received 18 holes of golf, lunch, and a bag of donated items from local businesses and industries. Sixteen teams consisting of 64 players participated. All were competing to win the first place prize of a round of golf for four at one of four courses at Reynolds at Lake Oconee in Greensboro.
Because of the event’s sponsors, prizes were awarded to the top three teams. First place winners, and recipients of the Reynolds at Lake Oconee golf package, were the team of Tony Newsome, Don Wren, Joey Kaney and Randy Johnson. Second place winners, and recipients of a $75 cash prize each, were the team representing FallLine Predictive Maintenance LLC., Roy Jackson, Steve Joiner, Floyd Potter, Roy and Fred Condit. Third place winners, and recipients of a $50 cash prize each, were the team of Ben Amerson, Howard Brantley, Ray Cobb and Michael Ginn.
“Congratulations to each of these teams,” shared Kathy Aaron, OFTC’s Executive Director of Institutional Advancement. “The OFTC Foundation North would like to thank everyone who supported this event,” she said. “Especially Twin City Country Club, the golfers, and sponsors.”
“Because of the tournament’s success, plans are already underway for next year’s event which we hope will be bigger and better,” Aaron added.
Again the Town & Country Real Estate team consisted of four generations, Johnny Webb, Andy Webb, Zack Webb, and Owen Webb. “It was such fun to watch the four generational team interact and participate,” Aaron said.
