OFTC Board Members Recognized as a 100% Certified Board by TCSG

Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s (OFTC) Board of Directors were recently recognized by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) as a 100% Certified Board which means each of the 14 board members which make up the College’s board attended classes and participated in events qualifying them for board certification, during TCSG’s Fall Leadership Conference in Savannah.

“For a board to accomplish 100% certification is not an easy task because each year there are members rotating on and off,” shared Kathy Aaron, Executive Director of OFTC’s North Foundation. “Congratulations to the OFTC Board for their accomplishments.”

Each year during the Leadership Conference, OFTC’s Trustees and Board members are provided with training sessions to learn new technologies and methods for working for the students and a chance to network with board members and trustees from other colleges.

“Attendees leave each year with a renewed passion for the work they do at the local college level,” Aaron said.

Also attending the conference were OFTC trustee (foundation) members.
