Mayor Eartha Cummings Slated to Speak at OFTC’s Fall 2022 Commencement, Sept. 22

Eartha Cummings, special education teacher and Mayor of Tennille, Ga., is slated to speak as guest speaker for Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s (OFTC) Fall 2022 Commencement & High School Equivalency Graduation Ceremony, Thursday, Sept. 22.  

Mayor Cummings was born and raised in Tennille and attended Washington County public schools. 

She has over 20 years of business experience with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. In 2009, Mayor Cummings obtained a Master of Art in Teaching, Special Education Certification, and a Specialist Degree in Education in Curriculum and Instruction to become a public-school teacher.  

Mayor Cummings currently serves on the Georgia Municipal Association Member Services Advisory Council and the Federal Policy Council.  

She is an active member of New Birth Christian Ministries where she is an ordained minister and serves as chair of the finance and women’s department. 

She is married and has two sons. 

The Fall 2022 Commencement Ceremony will take place on the College’s Sandersville Campus in the Ben J. Tarbutton Jr. Business Development Center, starting at 7 pm.
