Five Machine Tool Students Receive Gene Haas Scholarship

Five Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) Machine Tool Technology students were awarded the Gene Haas Scholarship from the OFTC Foundation-South, Inc. this summer.

The Gene Haas scholarships are made possible by a grant from The Gene Haas Foundation which designates awards to students enrolled in the Machine Tool Technology Program at OFTC.

Those receiving the scholarship for the 2017 summer semester are William Blankenship of Dexter, Michael Cheek of Dublin, Ethan Dennis of Eastman, Asheton Perry of Dublin, and Stephen Walker of East Dublin.

“The generosity of the Gene Haas Foundation for our Machine Tool Technology students at Oconee Fall Line Technical College is incredible,” commented Jenny Shuman, executive director of the OFTC South Foundation. “The South Foundation is proud to be a partner in this endeavor.”
