Kevyn Austin Soles Awarded Alton Lee McCullough Scholarship

Kevyn Austin Soles, a student in the Diesel Technology Program at Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC), has been awarded the Alton Lee McCullough Scholarship.

The Alton Lee McCullough Scholarship was established in August 2002 in memory of Alton Lee McCullough, a life-long resident of Laurens County. “Mr. Mac,” as he was fondly known, was a retired vocational teacher, school administrator, and farmer. He was the Laurens County School Superintendent from 1965-1973 and in his capacity of superintendent was an advocate for technical education.

Soles graduated from East Laurens High School and is currently enrolled in the Diesel Program at OFTC.

“The South Foundation is very pleased with the selection of Kevyn Soles as the recipient of the McCullough Scholarship.  The McCullough Family has been very supportive of the College and the students,” commented Jenny Shuman, executive director.
