Jonathan Solomon: Determined & Focused to Complete his GED

Jonathan Solomon, Oconee Fall Line Technical College Adult Education student, attends classes at OFTC’s Hancock County Center in Sparta and has successfully completed two of the four GED tests.

“He’s on fire and we are so proud of his hard work,” shared Jennifer Todd, OFTC Adult Education Coordinator and GED Instructor.

Solomon is a dedicated student working a full-time job, Todd shared.  However, his determination to complete his GED keeps him focused when the task seems overwhelming, she added. “I am extremely proud of this young man and his accomplishments this far.  I admire him for the time he puts into improving himself and working towards his goals.”

Currently, free GED classes are offered to anyone age 16 or older who wants to improve their reading, writing, or math skills as well as those who need to obtain a high school diploma.  Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 AM – 12 PM and 4 PM – 7 PM.  To enroll, individuals must have a current state issued ID, social security card, and birth certificate.
