Job Seekers Find Success at OFTC’s Career & Job Expo

Hundreds of local job seekers recently attended Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s (OFTC) annual Career and Job Expo in Sandersville and Dublin, July 18th and 24th where they had opportunities to mingle with 100 local employers seeking to hire qualified employees.

OFTC hosts this Career and Job Expo to bring employers and job seekers together with the hopes of filling employment gaps within the community and connecting job seekers to potential career opportunities.

“We love hosting this event every year,” shared Saketta Brown, Career Services and Disabilities Coordinator at OFTC. “It helps meet the needs of employers in the community as well as those who are looking for a new career. We also present training opportunities available at OFTC to those who are interested in gaining additional skills and qualifications they may need for the career they want.”

During the Career & Job Expo, employers set up booths in OFTC’s conference centers and job seekers can learn about open positions and present themselves as potential candidates for hire to employers. Several companies scheduled interviews and filled open positions before the conclusion of the event.
