Jeweski Receives Sterrett Practical Nursing Scholarship

Katelyn Peeler Jeweski, a Practical Nursing student at Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) has been selected by the OFTC Foundation – North, Inc. as the recipient of the Sterrett Practical Nursing Scholarship on the Sandersville Campus for spring semester.

Jeweski currently resides in Tennille.

The Sterrett Practical Nursing scholarship was established in June of 2018 by former OFTC, then Sandersville Technical College, President Dr. John H. Sterrett and his wife, Linda Gray Sterrett.

Awards are made annually to deserving nursing students at the Sandersville Campus who are enrolled in the practical nursing program. Applicants must meet all the scholarship criteria, which includes a letter of recommendation from a nursing instructor, an essay written by the student on why they chose to further their career in nursing, a GPA in the top 50 percentile of the class, and an exemplary work ethic in the classroom.
