Hundreds Attend Career & Job Expo at OFTC
Nearly 700 job seekers attended the Career and Job Expo hosted at Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s (OFTC) Dublin and Sandersville campuses on July 18th and 20th where they had opportunities to mingle with over 90 local employers seeking to hire qualified employees.
The Career and Job Expo is an event OFTC hosts every year in Dublin and Sandersville where they bring employers and job seekers together with the hopes of filling employment gaps within the community and providing potential career opportunities for those who are seeking.
“We love hosting this event every year,” shared Saketta Brown Career Services and Disabilities Coordinator at OFTC. “It helps meet the needs of employers in the community as well as those who are looking for a new career. We also present training opportunities available at OFTC to those who are interested in gaining additional skills and qualifications they may need for the career they want.”
During the Career & Job Expo, employers set up tables and booths in OFTC’s conference centers and job seekers have the opportunity to learn about open positions and present themselves to employers as potential candidates for hire. Several companies scheduled interviews and filled open positions before the conclusion of the event.
