Fall 2018 Community Healthcare Systems LPN Scholarship Recipients Announced
The Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) Foundation North is pleased to announce four OFTC Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) students as recipients of the fall 2018 Community Healthcare Systems of Georgia (CHSGa) LPN Scholarship: Amber Viles, Sage Martus, Ingrid Vasquez and Jennifer Luecke-Brewer.
Viles and Martus are enrolled in OFTC’s LPN program in Sandersville and Vasquez and Luecke-Brewer are enrolled in OFTC’s LPN program in Dublin.
Community Healthcare Systems of Georgia is an organization which employs nurses throughout OFTC’s 11-county service delivery area. Their Foundation, the Community Health Foundation, a service delivery line of CHSGa, has donated $8,000 in scholarship funds to support OFTC students enrolled in the LPN Program at OFTC.
“This fund is being established as part of our relationship with the College, in particular to support students in the Practical Nursing Diploma Program,” stated Amy Abel, Director of Communications for CHSGa. “The CHSGa service delivery lines employ hundreds of LPNs throughout the state. As part of our initiative to support students’ pursuit of their entry-level careers and career paths, this scholarship fund seeks to set that process in motion,” she said. “Students will be able to apply for funding to assist with books, uniforms, support for clinical experiences, and licensing exam preparations.”
