Closing of Campuses

CLOSING OFTC CAMPUSES MARCH 13, 2020 AT 1PM THROUGH MARCH 27, 2020

I want to assure you that you, our students, and our community are our first priority. We have been working with the Department of Public Health. We were informed this afternoon that an employee has been exposed to the COVID 19 virus. Persons who have had close contact with this person are being contacted. We have begun deep cleaning processes on our campuses.

Additionally, we have been given direction that the Governor has issued a call to action. In the best interest of our students, our faculty and staff, and our communities, we will be closing all OFTC campuses beginning March 13, 2020 at 1 p.m. through March 27, 2020. We plan to reopen our campuses on Monday, March 30, 2020.

We will be working to adjust our academic calendar which may include moving our spring break to one of these weeks that we are using during this closure. Please be flexible as we move through this very rapidly changing situation.

Please be reminded that we will be communicating via email, and the web site, and through the emergency management system.

I appreciate your patience and your commitment to each other. I covet your prayers as we work through this unprecedented situation. Take care of one another and your families.

Thank you,
