Black History Month Program 2021

“At OFTC, we value history and diversity.”

Black History Month

Thank you for being a part of OFTC’s observance of Black History Month!

This year, we moved the celebration online, with a special video presentation featuring Eryn Rogers, a rising star news anchor at Macon’s 13 WMAZ News.  If you haven’t already done so, please take a few minutes to watch the video, which also includes messages from our college president, Erica Harden, and our Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Saketha Adams.

To reward students who take the time to watch the Black History Month video during the week of its February 22, 2021, release, we’re offering special limited-edition t-shirts to students who can answer three very simple questions about the video. If you watched the video, answering these questions should be a piece of cake.

How to qualify for your free t-shirt?

  1. Watch OFTC’s Black History Month 2021 video.

2.  Take this quiz & answer 3 questions about the Black History Month 2021 Presentation. After answering the quiz questions, follow the prompts to receive instructions on how to request your free t-shirt.

3. We’ll contact you within 24 hours to tell you exactly when and where your shirt will be available.  The deadline for responses to qualify for a t-shirt is midnight on Friday, February 26, 2021.

edition OFTC Black History Month 2021 T-shirt!

Thanks again for your participation!

Special thanks to our guest speaker, Eryn Rogers of 13 WMAZ News, for being a part of OFTC’s 2021 Black History Month celebration. T-shirts are sponsored by OFTC’s SGA (Student Government Association) and HYPE (Helping Young People Excel) student organizations.

The fine print:  Only currently enrolled (Spring Semester 2021) OFTC students are eligible for this promotion, so be sure the info you submit with your quiz answers matches your OFTC registration. We’re offering t-shirts in sizes S-XXL. We hope everyone will receive their preferred shirt size, but due to the limited nature of these t-shirts, we’re not able to guarantee sizes. T-shirts will be distributed on a first-come basis, and we’ll offer a comparable alternative to anyone who qualifies for this promotion once the shirts have all been claimed. If you require a size larger than XXL, please let us know on the form, and we’ll contact you to discuss an alternative. Shirts must be picked up by the afternoon of Thursday, March 4, 2021 (unless other arrangements are made with Student Life staff). After March 4, unclaimed shirts may be offered to other participants.
