Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) is pleased to announce the establishment of the Bill and Vickie Cheek Heartland EMS Endowed Scholarship and the Bill and Vickie Cheek Heartland EMS Annual Scholarship. The scholarships will create opportunities for residents of Cochran and Bleckley County to change their lives through the power of education at OFTC’s South Campus. The scholarships will be facilitated through the OFTC South Foundation’s Development Office. “The South Foundation is excited to partner with the Cheek family and Heartland Emergency Medical Services, Inc. These scholarships will meet a need by helping EMS Professions students at OFTC follow through on their commitment to complete their education and will have a tremendous impact on their lives,” said Jenny Shuman, Executive Director of the South Foundation. Scholarships provide a source of funding for deserving students in need while bestowing a valuable sense of recognition and accomplishment.
