Registrar Services

The Registrar's Office provides support services for students, faculty and staff. All academic records at Oconee Fall Line Technical College are maintained by the Office of the Registrar.

 

Registration

New and Returning students are required to meet with their advisor to select their courses prior to registration. View list of advisors by program of study.  

 

Registration needs to be completed through BannerWeb . Students will need their student ID number and pin.  Please contact the Registrar’s Office if you have difficulty with BannerWeb.

Graduation Information

To ensure that all of the requirements for graduation have been met, students must check with their program advisor at the beginning of their last term. It is the student’s responsibility to submit a request for their associate degree, diploma or certificate.

 

Graduation Application

Students must apply for graduation with the Registrar's Office by the posted deadline of their final term.  Graduation applications along with Program Advisement sheets may be obtained from program advisors.   There is a graduation fee for students participating in the ceremony.  This fee covers the cost of the credential, cover and cap and gown ensemble.  Graduation ceremony is held twice a year in fall and spring.  Degree, diploma and certificate (excluding embedded certificates) students are eligible to participate.

Grades/GPA Information

Final grades for the semester may be viewed on BannerWeb 3-5 working days after the term ends.

 

Course Withdrawals 

Students may initiate a course withdrawal by notifying the instructor teaching the course of their intention to withdraw.  A student may be administratively withdrawn by an instructor if the student does not comply with the attendance procedure outlined in the course syllabus.  A student will receive a grade of a W if a withdrawal is processed during the first five weeks of the course (prior to midterm).  After midterm, a grade of WP (withdraw passing) or a WF (withdrawn failing) will be assigned.  Withdrawals occurring after 80% of the term regardless of the grade will be WF.

Transcripts

Unofficial transcripts may be accessed through BannerWeb . Official transcripts must be requested through the Registrar’s Office. An Authorization to Release Records form must be completed by the student in order for the transcript to be released. There will be a $5.00 fee for each official transcript requested. Transcripts may be requested through Banner Web or ordered through the National Student Clearinghouse.

Enrollment Verifications

Enrollment Verifications may be printed by accessing the Enrollment Verifications link on BannerWeb.  Enrollment verifications will not be available until approximately the third week of the semester.

 

Employers or other agencies may request enrollment verification information by contacting the National Student Clearinghouse – www.studentclearinghouse.org or www.degreeverify.com.

 

FERPA

Oconee Fall Line Technical College annually informs students about the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974.  The College fully complies with FERPA which was designed to protect the privacy of education records, establish the right of students to inspect and review their education records, and provide guidelines for the correction of inaccurate or misleading data through information and formal hearings.   Students also have the right to file complaints with FERPA concerning alleged failures by the College to comply with the Act.
