While our campuses will continue to be closed to non-essential personnel and to the public until we see a decline in the spread of the virus or until directed to open the campuses, we are available to help!

It’s GO Time!

Jumpstart your way to a world of new opportunities! We strive to move students from literacy to work. The OFTC Adult Education Program is designed for adults with a variety of needs, backgrounds, and skill levels. We offer day and evening adult education classes as well as GED testing to adult students age 16 and older.

Our program includes the following areas of service to students:

  • Basic Skills Instruction
    Instruction is provided in the areas of reading, arithmetic, writing and grammar, science, social studies and life skills.
  • GED Test Preparation
    Through general and specialized instruction and practice tests, our instructors help students prepare to successfully complete the GED Examination.
  • Workplace Literacy Programs
    We deliver customized on-site programs on a cost recovery basis to assist employers in helping its employees improve skills needed to perform present and future jobs.
  • English Literacy Classes
    English Literacy classes give non-English speaking students the communication and life skills they need to live and work in an English-speaking culture.
  • General Educational Development Diploma Testing
    OFTC is the GED testing center for our 11-county service area. The test is offered monthly at the North Campus in Sandersville, twice a month at the South Campus in Dublin, and periodically in other counties.

How do I get started?

Adult education classes are free and open to the public.

Choose your nearest campus below for additional information on adult education classes in your county:

  • North Campus (serving Glascock, Hancock, Jefferson, Warren, and Washington counties)
  • South Campus (serving Bleckley, Dodge, Laurens, Telfair, Wheeler, and Wilkinson counties)

Prospective students 16, 17, and 18 years old must meet special requirements to enroll in adult education. Contact the adult education center in your county for additional information.
