GED® Testing Information
Complete the GED® test by the end of 2013, and then go on to college, a better job, the respect you deserve, and the accomplishment of earning your high school diploma.
At Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC), GED® testing is conducted at the OFTC North and South Campuses, both official GED® testing centers. The GED® tests are made up of five sections, including reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. The GED® tests cost $32 per test section or $160 for all five tests (full battery). Payment must be made with cash or money order. Personal checks are not accepted. You must present your valid state-issued ID at registration and test time. Your ID can be a license or state ID from any state.

- Check the registration schedule below for dates, times, and locations for the next GED registration nearest you.
- If you are 16 or 17 you must complete the requirements set by TCSG in order to be eligible to take the tests.
Changes to the GED Test in 2014
If you've already started the GED® test,
you're almost there. Starting in 2014, there will be a new GED® test.
Your incomplete scores on the current version of the GED® test will
expire at the end of 2013. If you finish now, you won't have to repeat
the sections you've already passed.

The GED Test is all multiple-choice, and
an essay is required to be written. To obtain your General Educational
Development (GED) in the state of Georgia, you must: (1) score a total
of 2250 with a minimum of 410 on each subject test; and (2) have an
average standard score of 450. If you have scored below 410 points on
one or more of the individual sections of the exam, these sections MUST be retested.

OFTC cannot give out official GED® test scores. Once testing is
completed, official diplomas and transcripts are mailed directly to the
examinee from the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), Office of
Adult Education, GED® Testing Program. For additional copies of these
documents please contact TCSG at 404-679-1645, or www.tcsg.edu. You may
print a Transcript Request form directly from the TCSG website.
Upon completion of your GED, you may qualify for a $500.00 Hope Voucher to help you continue your education!
