Driver's Education Classes

Classes are on Saturdays unless otherwise noted and consist of 30 hours of classroom and 6 hours of supervised driving.

 "Behind the Wheel" training offered for $40/hr for supervised driving only.

American Red Cross Babysitting Course

(Designed for ages 11-15) 

 Class Description - Babysit with knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help you

• Care for children and infants
• Be a good leader and role model
• Make good decisions and solve problems.
• Keep the children you babysit and yourself safe.
• Handle emergencies such as injuries, illnesses and household accidents.
• Interview and prepare for jobs.
• And much more!

Each person will receive a American Red Cross Babysitter Training Participant's Set including an assortment of materials to better assist babysitters on the job. The set includes:

1. Babysitter's Training Handbook-this full color handbook is filled with great information and resources to use in class and on the job.
2. Babysitter's Training Emergency Reference Guide-this easy-to-carry, compact booklet provides step-by-step instructions to handle common emergencies such as bee stings and asthma attacks.
3. Babysitter's Training CD-ROM-this new tool provides participants with the tools they will need to run their babysitting business, including a babysitting organizer; a printable activity booklet with games, crafts, songs and recipes; a resume template and more!

CTD (Commerical Truck Driving) Refresher Course (40 Hours)

This 40 Hour Continuing Education Course is for individuals needing a refresher  in Commercial Truck Driving. Students will participate in classroom instruction, backing maneuvers, road driving, federal rules and regulations, trip planning, and vehicle inspections.  A personal assessment of driving ability will be performed on each student prior to instruction. This course meets or exceeds the training requirements of most trucking firms.

• MUST HAVE CURRENT CLASS “A” COMMERCIAL DRIVER’S LICENSE
• CURRENT MOTOR VEHICLE REPORT (7 YR. MVR)
  • Must be within 30 days of the class start date.
  • No more than 8 points total or 5 in any one year.
  • No more than 4 moving violations.
  • No DUI, Open Container or Drug Possession charges within the past 5 years
   
• CURRENT LONG FORM DOT PHYSICAL
• PASS NIDA 5 DRUG SCREEN
  • (Must take at Dublin Drug & Alcohol - $38.50)
   
• HAVE CERTIFICATE OR CERTIFIED DOCUMENT FROM AN ACCREDITED DRIVING SCHOOL SHOWING PROOF OF PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTION
